A suggested form of prayer structure

The "RUCAT" five step prayer structure
is a powerful, easy-to-use
method of developing and using prayer.

You may use the descriptive words
shown under each heading,
or put the five steps into words
that are more comfortable, and more powerful for you.

R = Recognition – I recognize God in my prayer

I recognize God as the One presence and One Power active in the Universe and in my life. I recognize God as the loving, intelligence and creative source of all visible and invisible.

I know that God is all life, perfect, whole and complete. I know God is all goodness, all power and absolute, unconditional love.

U = Unification – I realize the unity between myself and God

God is present within and around me, within and around everyone, and within and around everything and every situation. There is no place I could be that God is not. There is no part of me, or of anyone else, or of any situation that is not a part of God's creation. Therefore, I know that I am one with God.

Divine Mind is the only mind there is. My mind is a part of God's Divine Mind and I have access to any part of it – to any idea of goodness, of healing, of security, of right order, and all the truth that I need right now.

C = Claim
I make my claim by speaking my word of faith– with the feeling of absolutely knowing that my claim is already manifesting

I now speak my word (for myself, my situation, or for another), and make my claim ________________________________. I now also disolve any idea that I may have had which is not in perfect alignment with my claim.

As I speak my word, I realize that "of myself I can do nothing. It is the Father within that doeth the works." I know that since the Grace of God has made me "in the image and likeness of God", God's Grace also provides me with the "free will" to choose my good, as a co-creator with God. As a result, I recognize the creative power my word has, because God provides my word with this creative power.

Therefore, I know that God's Divine Law is automatically manifesting my claim according to my word of faith. I know that my claim is now manifesting because I know that "it is God's good pleasure to grant me the kingdom of heaven", which is my spiritual inheritance.

A =Acceptance – I know my prayer is complete

My prayer is complete, and there is nothing more for me to do since my claim has been made and is now being fulfilled according to God's Divine Law. I rest in calm, peaceful assurance, and I remain alert and ready to take effective action as I am guided by Spirit.

T = Thanksgiving – I thank God

I am so very thankful God!
